Lizzie Williams- Founder, President


Lizzie Williams is a native of West Point, MS. She currently resides in Northport, 
AL. She is married to Demetrius Williams Sr. and is the mother of two beautiful children Desiree Nicole and Demetrius Michael II. Lizzie’s husband and children have served alongside her in the mission field at MissionLab New Orleans, LA, Mission Arlington, in Arlington, TX and Mission Year in Chicago, IL.


Lizzie attended Marion Military Institute where she received her Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies, The University of Alabama where she received her Bachelors in Human Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Family Financial Planning and Counseling, and Grand Canyon University where she received her Master’s in Special Education. Later, having developed a passion for serving God’s people, she returned to school and received her certification in Pastoral Leadership from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Lizzie has worked in the education system for over 15 years.

She is currently employed with the Tuscaloosa City Schools System as a Collaborative Special Education Teacher. Lizzie’s education has laid the foundation to assist her in the development and facilitation of several youth training programs. Lizzie is self-motivated and has demonstrated success in a wide range of teaching, financial planning, and administrative positions. Lizzie’s strong organizational and project management skills are evident through the successful administration of the various programs and the tremendous impact made on the programs’ participants.


Lizzie accepted her call into the preaching ministry June 26, 2011 and has willingly served in various capacities, including Youth Director, Missions Coordinator, Minister of Students, and Minister of Christian Education. Lizzie received her License to Preach the Gospel on February 10, 2013. Lizzie was ordained by the Plum Grove Baptist Church as a Christian Minister on November 15, 2015.


Lizzie currently serves as the Youth Minister at the Bethel Baptist Church where Pastor Schmitt Moore is the senior pastor. Lizzie boldly brings the word to youth each week. As the youth minister, Lizzie constantly quotes scriptures and promotes the citing and memorization of scripture to the youth. She is an advocate of bible knowledge and biblical literacy. Lizzie loves the Lord, and has a passion for God’s people. It is her desire to empower those she serves to become disciples for Christ and live out the great commission.

Ronny Crowell- Treasurer

 

Ronny is a life-long resident in Tuscaloosa. He is married to DeMeriam Crowell, and they have two children, Nicholas and Natalie. He is a general contractor and is an employee of BF Goodrich for over 20 years.

 

Ronny is a member of Plum Grove Baptist Church. He is outgoing and does not meet strangers. He enjoys music, movies, and construction work. 

 

Ronny is a graduate of Central High School, located in Tuscaloosa, AL. After high school, he attended Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, AL. 

Brenda King- Secretary

 

Brenda is a life-long resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was raised, along with her three siblings, in the Taylorville Community by her parents, O. P. and Jessie Royster. She has been married for 35 years to Lujean King, Sr. and they have three children, Adrienne, Lujean, Jr., and Tyler.

 

She is a lifetime member of the Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, located in the Taylorville Community where she was taught, and has faith that God is all-knowing, possesses infinite love and goodness, is all-powerful, and the creator of all things. Brenda has held the following positions at Saint Paul AME Church: Youth Director, Christian Education Director, and Trustee.

 

She is currently enjoying retirement after 35 years of employment with the Tuscaloosa City Schools, 36 with the state of Alabama, where she held the following positions: instructional aide, special education teacher, lead special education teacher, and site facilitator of the afterschool program. As a special educator, she provided specially designed instruction, support, and services to students with diverse disabilities. Awards she received during her 35 years as an educator include being nominated as teacher of the year and Jacksonville State University teacher hall of fame nominee.

Brenda is a graduate of Holt High School, located in the Holt Community. After high school, she attended the Alabama State University located in Montgomery, Alabama where she graduated with a BS in Psychology, and an MS in special education. She obtained an educational leadership certification from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Brenda’s future goals include completing her dissertation and to graduate from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida with an EDD in special education. 

DeMeriam Crowell, Board Member

 

DeMeriam is a life-long resident in Tuscaloosa. She is married to Ronny Crowell, and they have two children, Nicholas and Natalie Crowell. She is a RN nurse and has worked in the medical field for over 35 years. She was formally employed at DCH Medical Center where she was the Assistant Nurse Manager of the Medical Intensive Care Unit for 8 years. DeMeriam is currently employed with Tuscaloosa Veterans Administration Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was chosen for the 2020 Excellence in Nursing RN Award.

 

DeMeriam is a member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church where she is the president of the nursing ministry. She enjoys church, movies, and cooking.

 

DeMeriam is a graduate of Central High School, located in Tuscaloosa, AL. After high school, she attended Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, AL and University Capstone College of Nursing.

 

Demetrius Williams, Board Member

 

Demetrius Williams is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is the first sibling of three children. He was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. Demetrius attends Bethel Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL where he serves as youth leader and the transportation ministry. He has also served God in the following capacities: Church Musician, Sunday School Teacher, and Mission Team. He has always had a passion for evangelism and outreach and was able to find the example of community outreach through church projects.  Demetrius has given his time to mission and outreach and has enjoyed empowering the people that he meets.

 

Demetrius is currently employed at ZF Chassis Systems, LLC where he has served for 21 years, where he worked in production. Awards he has received is attendance award and 20 Years’ Service Award.

 

Demetrius is a graduate of Central High School, located in Tuscaloosa, AL. After high school, he attended Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, AL. Demetrius’s future goals include helping people to reach their purpose in life.

Cynthia McCoy, Board Member

 

Cynthia resides in Tuscaloosa, AL. She has been the mother of several foster children and has four brothers. Cynthia is a member of Double Portion Church where she sings in the choir. She also teaches a small group bible study.

 

Cynthia is employed with Bolta USA in Tuscaloosa, AL. She served in the United States Army for four years. One of the ministries that she is a proud member of includes the New Life New Beginning Ministry. This ministry involves taking the good news of what “thus says the Lord” to homes where members facilitate bible study and fellowship afterwards.
